After spending a weekend in a blanket fort watching movies and enjoying the company of my love, I picked up my guitar and this song spilled out. It's about feeling the excitement of both romance and uncertainty at the same time, and loving every moment of it.

MUSIC IS HOPE

Funk N Spuds is a Minneapolis based musical collective of artists from around the Midwest. Formed in early 2020, their jam-rock jazz-pop sounds inspire hope in listeners and positive change in the world. They are Thomas Hazlett (lead guitar), Zach Miller (sax), Justin Halverson (bass), Martin Meier (druuuuums), and Max Meier (flugelhorn, guitar, keys, and vocals).

We worked with Cory Grider of the Personas, a local Minneapolis recording wizard, who also mixed and mastered the song. This serves as not only the best sounding piece of music by our band but also a glimpse into Laurel Triangle Sounds (Cory’s recording studio and rehearsal space where some seriously magical things are happening).
